Eye Movement Desensitization
& Reprocessing
(EMDR)

Processing traumatic memories can be challenging, uncomfortable, and sometimes even re-traumatizing. If you are living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), the thoughts, images, and emotions tied to your trauma can feel overwhelming and impact your overall well-being.

You don't have to face it alone - healing is possible!

What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) can help the brain naturally recover from traumatic experiences. Using bilateral stimulation, EMDR reconnects the part of the brain stuck in trauma with the logical, processing side. While the memories remain, the fight-or-flight response fades, allowing for healing and relief.

The Benefits of EMDR

EMDR can be used to treat those that suffer with PTSD as well as a multitude of anxiety disorders such as: Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Phobias, and Social Anxiety.

Therapy sessions can be conducted in person or virtually, making EMDR accessible and flexible.

All clinicians at Counseling & Wellness Collective are trained in EMDR. If you're considering whether EMDR is right for you, contact us to schedule a phone or video consultation with one of our therapists.
